Race report by Jared Phair
Awesome turnout and tight racing at round 2 of the Indoor Northeast Series at 46RC. With 104 entries in a really small building, the place was packed full! The track is very tight, 100% red clay, which was occasionally watered throughout the day, so the track tended to get dry towards the end of each qualifying round and the mains. There were 3 heats of 2wd mod buggy and 4 heats of 4wd buggy. In round 1, got TQ with the 2018 XB2C and qualified 5th with the 2018 XB4 after bumper cars with traffic. With a much needed resort in round 2, had a few mistakes in 2wd leading to a 3rd place start in the A. In 4wd, improved on time and qualified 2nd for the A.

The mains were pretty stacked, with fast drivers in each A-main. In the 4WD main, avoided the wrecks and got out to a comfortable lead early on. However, track conditions were getting progressively inconsistent and went downhill about every 2 laps. 2nd place caught up after a couple of bobbles, but after a last-lap final attempt at passing, failed to do so and held on for the win! Look forward to the next round of the series back at Barnstormers RC, but before then a trip to Motorama in Harrisburg, PA to run some electric 1/8th scale!
